Macao, with its distinctive colonial background, is home to numerous historic architectural sites. The “Historic Centre of Macao” consists of dozens of monuments and squares, giving visitors the feel of a foreign classical charm. It was listed as one of the world heritage sites in 2005, becoming a must-visit attraction for travelers.

The “Macao World Heritage” mobile application (App), developed by the Macao Government Tourism Office specifically for visitors, compiles introductions to Macao’s world heritage sites, real-time multimedia information, and interactive features. Users can easily check the distance to each site, routes, descriptions, opening hours, and addresses through the GPS (Global Positioning System) function in the app, allowing them to leisurely explore the world heritage site — the “Historic Centre of Macao.”

The app also offers 360-degree virtual tours, high-quality images, and short videos, enabling users to preview sites on their phones before visiting. It also provides frequently used and emergency contact numbers in Macao, making it highly convenient. The app supports Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, and Portuguese interfaces and information. It is available for iPhone, iPod, and iPad and can be downloaded for free by searching “WH Macau” or “Macao World Heritage” on the App Store.
