The world-renowned Inagiku Japanese cuisine has opened its first branch in Shanghai!

Inagiku is seen as a symbol of traditional Japanese cuisine. Its Shanghai branch at the Marriott Hotel Changfeng Park is run by four Japanese chefs, using exclusively imported and locally sourced high-quality ingredients. Adhering to Inagiku’s over 150-year reputation for excellence in Japan, it offers top-tier sashimi, sushi, teppanyaki, and its most famous tempura; the average cost per person is around 1,000 RMB.

Inagiku’s Executive Chef Shinji Morihara said: “Internationally, Inagiku is seen as a symbol of traditional Japanese cuisine. The four most popular Japanese dishes we offer all follow the century-old brand heritage and are prepared using traditional methods.”

Inagiku’s most famous tempura boasts a unique delicate aroma, the secret of which lies in the oil used for frying — premium white sesame oil from Nagano Prefecture, Japan, refined through traditional craftsmanship. Signature teppanyaki and sashimi feature premium ingredients such as live lobster, abalone, crab, Australian wagyu beef, and seafood from the safe waters of Uwajima in southern Japan. In addition to exquisite Japanese cuisine, Inagiku also offers a selection of sake and teas to complement your meal.

Additionally, for lunch, there are up to 19 business and premium lunch options, including a Japanese tonkatsu rice set, a premium Australian wagyu steak set, and a premium assorted tempura set; dessert choices include black sesame, green tea, or vanilla ice cream. For food connoisseurs seeking the ultimate gourmet experience, the Chef’s Select Set is highly recommended.

In 1866, Inagiku opened its first tempura shop in Hamachō, Japan, and quickly grew in popularity, gaining favor among global celebrities, diplomats, and artists. In 1973, Inagiku’s first overseas branch debuted at New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel. To date, Inagiku has established a presence in numerous top-tier hotels worldwide, including Four Seasons Hong Kong, Shangri-La Singapore, Park Hyatt Beijing, and Marriott Hotel Changfeng Park in Shanghai.
