The “2012 Taipei International Beef Noodle Festival” has kicked off! The first “beef” served is the “Taipei Beef Noodle Legend” promotion. This year’s event invites 15 award-winning stores from previous years to jointly launch a “Buy One Get One Free” deal. In addition, this year’s selection process will be different from previous years where judges directly visited stores for tastings. Instead, a hundred-person, hundred-store evaluation will take place, using an on-site tasting and immediate voting method to select 15 top stores for this year’s braised, clear-broth, and tomato-based soup flavors. The selection is expected to take place in late October.

From now until October 15, the public can download the “Buy One Get One Free” coupon from the “Taipei Beef Noodle Legend” thematic website hosted by the Taipei City Department of Economic Development, and visit participating stores to enjoy the buy one get one free beef noodle offer. A total of 6,000 free bowls of beef noodles will be given away! Additionally, by uploading a photo of your meal to the thematic website, you may also have a chance to win one of 15 free beef noodle meal vouchers, with a total of 10 prizes available.

And finally, the “2012 Taipei International Beef Noodle Culinary Chef King Competition” will be held on December 1–2 at the Hua-Bien Yuan-Shan Park. It is divided into three categories: “Braised Group,” “Clear-Broth Group,” and “Creative Rice Category.” Registration for stores is now open.
