Macau’s strong Portuguese flair and exciting festive events always draw tourists from all over the world. The 15th Macau Lusofonia Festival will be held from October 19 to 21 at Coloane’s Taipa Grande Vista. The three-day event includes booths showcasing the culture of Portuguese-speaking communities, song and dance performances, and traditional Portuguese games, presenting a vibrant celebration of Lusophone culture. For those seeking thrills and speed, head to Macau from November 15 to 18 to experience the region’s largest international event—the 59th Macau Grand Prix—and feel the adrenaline rush of high-speed racing. Additionally, the Macao Government Tourism Office has launched a free “Discover Macau” iPhone app, allowing travelers to check tourism updates, plan self-guided itineraries, and easily explore Macau’s attractions via their smartphones.

Coloane’s Taipa Grande Vista is home to historic Portuguese architecture and serves as the perfect venue for the annual “Lusofonia Festival.” This year’s festival will run from 7:00 PM to midnight on October 19, and from 12:00 PM to midnight on October 20 and 21. During the event, the area will be decorated with traditional Portuguese elements, featuring ten booths from local Portuguese-speaking communities, song and dance performances by Macau-based and Portuguese-speaking countries’ art troupes, a football invitational tournament among Portuguese-speaking communities, traditional Portuguese games, tabletop football competitions, and a computer simulation game of the Macau Grand Prix. A special “Carmo Radio” station will also be set up, playing music from Portuguese-speaking countries throughout the day, ensuring a festive atmosphere for all visitors to enjoy Macau’s Portuguese heritage.

From November 15 to 18, world-class racers from around the globe will gather in Macau for the “59th Macau Grand Prix.” As one of Macau’s most iconic events, the Grand Prix features motorcycles, super touring cars, and Formula 3 race cars speeding along the unique Guia Circuit—the only track in the world that hosts mixed-category races. The twisting turns of the Guia Circuit not only challenge drivers’ skills but also deliver an exhilarating rush of speed and excitement for spectators.
