Located in New Taipei City, the Yingge Ceramics Museum arranges special ceramic activities for its pottery experience courses according to various holidays, which have always been well received. From December 22 this year, the museum’s children’s experience room will launch special activities during the Christmas season, allowing kids to paint their own Christmas gifts such as gift boxes and wind chimes, as well as admire colorful Christmas trees, so that both children and adults can enjoy the charm of ceramics together during the holiday season.

From December 22 to December 25, the Yingge Ceramics Museum in New Taipei City will transform its children’s experience room into the “Christmas Gift Dream Factory.” Visitors can not only admire the colorful Christmas tree set up in Taiwan’s only ceramic stamping area but also watch a play performed by pottery teachers about Santa Claus climbing down the chimney and discovering ceramic tiles. Kids can then paint their own gift boxes, wind chimes, wish boxes, or small ceramic tiles to create their very own Christmas gifts. Those who want more can sign up for the “Clay Modeling DIY – Mosaic Plate” course at the pottery workshop and try out the newly introduced “mosaic technique” to design a unique ceramic plate themselves.

This Christmas Gift Dream Factory event is open to children aged 4 to 12. Regular daytime sessions are at 9:40, 11:00, and 14:00, while weekend sessions also include 15:30. The event runs for four days, and the participation fee is just a material cost of NT$100. For more details, visit the official website of the Ceramics Museum: www.ceramics.ntpc.gov.tw.
