Spring in March is a great time to enjoy flowers, and the enchantingly purple wisteria also blooms during this period. Jiayi’s Ruili Village is one of the most beautiful wisteria viewing spots in Taiwan. Every year when the wisteria is in bloom, the “Wisteria Season” event is held. This year’s flower viewing period runs from February 28 to April 12, with vast purple flower seas that are a feast for the eyes.

The entire Ruili Village has about 20 to 30 spots where you can view wisteria. Currently, the blooming conditions vary by location, with most around 50% in bloom. Visitors who want to admire the flowers can plan their trip accordingly. In addition, there are many experience activities and package tours during the flower season, which those who wish to travel abroad but can't due to the pandemic might want to consider.
