The 2013 International Cycling Tour de Taiwan will see top cyclists compete across five of Taiwan’s most scenic national scenic areas: Dapeng Bay, Siraya, Yunlin-Kaohsiung-Tainan Coastal, Shan Shan, North Coast & Guanyinshan. The event will feature 184 elite riders from 23 teams representing 30 countries across five continents.

Taiwan’s stunning landscapes are world-renowned, and its delicious cuisine attracts many international tourists. This year, Norway’s Team Frøy-Bianchi has been specially invited to compete in Taiwan. The entire team arrived in Taiwan in early March and chose to conduct their preseason training in the spring-like southern part of the country. In addition to preparing for the race, they also took the opportunity to sample Taiwan’s local cuisine. Aside from cycling training at Dapeng Bay Scenic Area, the Team Frøy-Bianchi riders also visited the culturally rich Sandimen, experiencing firsthand the warmth of Taiwan’s people and hospitality.
The 2013 International Cycling Tour de Taiwan Road Race will be held from now until March 24. Through the organization and broadcast of this international event, more people around the world will have the chance to see Taiwan.
