Every spring and summer, the Zhongxiao Branch of SOGO Department Store in Taipei’s East District holds a Japanese Festival. This year, the focus is on Hokkaido specialties. In addition to delicacies from the northern region, popular Japanese snacks, teas, ramen, and other much-loved Japanese foods are all on display, allowing consumers who love Japanese flavors to stock up on authentic Japanese products all at once.

The newly arrived foods are sure to refresh your palate. Japan’s famed queue-worthy restaurant GARAKU is making its debut here this year, with Japanese chefs personally demonstrating their craft in Taiwan and offering daily limited editions. For desserts, AILE DORE has been specially invited this year to present dreamy treats like crêpes and "Dreaming Camembert," with irresistible buttery aromas that transport you straight to Hokkaido.

The well-known Flower Fields Farm has also introduced new flavors this time, such as caramel cheese cake and caramel pudding cake rolls—must-tries for dessert lovers. Even more special are the specially discounted items offered in response to the weakened yen, truly catering to customers looking to save while still enjoying delicious treats.

In recent years, the "Shu-Tiao San-Xiong-Di" (Three Brothers of French Fries) series, which has become a trend in Taiwan, is making an early price drop exclusively at this exhibition. Starting March 22 (Friday), with a limited run of 6,000 boxes, each person can purchase up to 5 boxes at the special Japanese Festival price of NT$400, challenging the lowest price across all department store channels in Taiwan. Beloved Hokkaido souvenir "Shiroi Koibito" from Shiroi Seika is also discounted by 6% compared to last year—fans shouldn’t miss this chance to buy. The selection of other types of sweets has expanded to 150 varieties, continuing past acclaim and aiming to delight consumers’ taste buds. The exhibition also features a dedicated mink oil product zone, along with Japanese crafts, Hokkaido wood carvings, and ceramic tableware—items that consistently draw high interest and inquiries from visitors during each exhibition.

The exhibition runs from March 19 to 31. In addition to daily limited-quantity special offer items, there are also cardholder perks, spending-based gifts, and other promotions. Consumers who love Hokkaido and Japanese specialties are welcome to visit, sample, and shop.
