Due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, as a precautionary measure, many large-scale events that draw crowds have been adjusted accordingly. The Michelin Guide Taiwan has also announced that the release of the 2020 edition will be postponed to the third quarter.

In addition to prioritizing public health and minimizing the burden on frontline epidemic prevention efforts, this year’s Michelin Guide release will make its debut in Taichung, marking a significant and groundbreaking move in the realm of food culture. Therefore, there is an even stronger desire to showcase the diverse charm of Taiwanese cuisine to the world without any concerns or constraints.

The Tourism Bureau and the organizers of the Michelin Guide Taiwan release sincerely hope that, with the dedication of frontline anti-epidemic warriors and the joint efforts of the entire population, the COVID-19 pandemic can be brought under control as soon as possible, allowing the highly anticipated Michelin Guide release to take place at the earliest. The timing is currently tentatively set for the third quarter of this year, with the specific date to be determined based on the development of the epidemic.
