The charm of Nanyang (Malaysia) is sweeping across Taiwan. On May 25 and 26 at Taipei’s Xinyi Vista, the Malaysian Tourism Board is offering a variety of free food tastings and experience activities, as well as free tour packages, round-trip flights to Malaysia, and other major prizes drawn daily, allowing everyone to get a taste of the festive atmosphere of Malaysia Tourism Year 2014 in advance!

To welcome Malaysia Tourism Year 2014, the Malaysian Tourism Board will hold an expanded event called “Infinite Charm Stories, All in Malaysia” at the pedestrian area of Taipei’s Xinyi Vista, using a variety of experience activities to showcase the local culture and customs of Malaysia. Professional Malaysian dancers will be invited to perform traditional folk dances. Visitors can also try their hand at traditional Malaysian batik and embroidery for free, and enjoy live performances and tastings of Malaysian teh tarik and roti jala. Just by participating in the challenge activities on the day, you could win a wealth of prizes, including free Malaysian tour packages and daily draws for round-trip flights—definitely not to be missed!

In addition, for durian lovers, on the opening day of May 25, the organizers have prepared over 200 servings of Malaysian “Musang King” durian desserts and durian ice cream for free tasting. The event will also offer tastings of Malaysia’s famous white coffee and various Malaysian dishes. The popular Melaka trishaw parade, which received widespread acclaim last year, will make another appearance, allowing the public to experience the vibrant charm of the ancient city of Melaka right on the streets of Taipei.
