The sensational Taipei International Tourism Expo will open in grand style tomorrow (5/24). With summer vacation just around the corner, industry players are launching a variety of family travel promotions to help adults save money while letting kids enjoy themselves to the fullest. Doraemon Science Theme Park in Hsinchu is offering a 56% discount on tickets during the expo period; accommodation is slashed to 38% off, with the original price of NT$5,200 now only NT$1,990, plus an additional NT$1,700 in value-packed gifts including two tickets, breakfast, and a nighttime DIY voucher.

Various resorts and boutique hotels are also rolling out a range of accommodation discounts to ensure families can enjoy a relaxed and fun trip. The four-person family room at Hualien Ruisui Xinhe Resort for family trips is originally priced at NT$10,880, but the expo special price is NT$5,438. The joint family suite stay certificate for four from the Chien Yeh Cultural & Creative Hotels group—covering Chiayi Inn, Tamsui Breeze, and Taichung Bird’s Day—is available at the expo for NT$3,999. Meanwhile, the Kenting Turn Corner Extraordinary Resort & Spa in southern Taiwan offers a four-person package originally priced at NT$8,960, now set at NT$3,999 during the expo period, with an extra NT$1 getting you a combo of three water activities (snorkeling + speedboat + banana boat).
Yu Zhen Travel Agency is offering a two-day, one-night family-of-four outlying island travel deal during the expo period: Orchid Island is originally NT$6,750, with a special price starting at NT$4,999 per person; Little Liuqiu is originally NT$2,500, with a limited-time special of NT$1,999 per person; Green Island is originally NT$2,900, now discounted by 30% to NT$1,999 per person.
