The Peninsula Hong Kong is inviting a Michelin-starred chef to make a guest appearance for the first time in three years since its opening—Chef Mak Kwai Pui from Hong Kong’s renowned dim sum specialty restaurant [Tim Ho Wan]. Many have heard of this Michelin-rated Hong Kong delight, and quite a few have personally savored its flavors. To demonstrate its commitment to the dining scene, The Peninsula Hong Kong has taken a more formal approach than other industry peers by gathering several chefs under its Cloud Nine Hospitality Group. Led by Chef Chen Wei-chiang, they traveled to Hong Kong to train under Chef Mak for nearly a month, learning all the secrets and steps behind every Michelin-style Hong Kong dim sum from 3:00 AM to 10:00 PM without a break. They are dedicated to bringing Taiwanese consumers the authentic star-level Hong Kong dim sum, presented exactly as it is.

Currently, both Gala Dinner sessions at The Peninsula Hong Kong on June 28 sold out within a week of the announcement. In response to overwhelming consumer enthusiasm and in line with the summer vacation period, the hotel will additionally offer afternoon tea sessions at Yee Palace from July 1 to August 31.
All Michelin-style Hong Kong dim sum will be available at a flat rate of NT$99 during these service hours (original prices range approximately from NT$100 to NT$280), allowing all Taiwanese food lovers who adore ‘Tim Ho Wan’ to savor this Asian culinary pride—without the need to travel all the way to Hong Kong.
