This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival features a four-day long holiday. Taiwan High Speed Rail will operate 112 additional train services between September 18 and September 23 during the holiday transport period — 62 southbound and 50 northbound — along with the suspension of 10 commuter services. A total of 905 train services will be available over the six-day period, with ticket sales for the Mid-Autumn Festival transport period beginning on August 22.

Starting at midnight on August 22, passengers can purchase round-trip tickets for the transport period from September 18 to September 23 in advance via 24-hour convenience stores partnered with the high-speed rail, online booking, the T Express mobile app, the voice reservation system, or at ticket windows and ticket vending machines at stations during operating hours. The “early bird discount” for the Mid-Autumn Festival transport period offers discounts of up to 65%, 80%, or 90% for tickets purchased 8 to 28 days before the departure date.

In addition, the transport period will continue to offer non-reserved seating, limited upgrades to business class, and discounted fares for standard class. Passengers holding period tickets, rechargeable tickets, or EasyCard co-branded cards can enter stations and board trains directly by tapping their cards. However, student discount programs, school field trip programs, and group discounts for parties of 30 or more are suspended.
