Having hosted 46 domestic and international walking events over the past 13 years, La new has specially crafted its 47th mass walk event as the “most bullish in New Taipei – Taiwan Running of the Bulls Festival.” The event invites the most popular Lamigirls to serve as promotional ambassadors, welcoming friends from all over Taiwan – parents bringing kids, neighbors joining together – to gather at the Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park - Breeze Canal Square in New Taipei City on October 5th, the most “bullish” outdoor spot, and walk for health as a family.

With 13 years of experience organizing mass walk events, La new has added a 4.2-kilometer mini marathon this year, offering participants a different fitness experience. This year also sees the launch of the “Taiwan Running of the Bulls Festival” theme, inspired by the bull horn graphic from the company’s branding. Enthusiastically inviting the public to don bull horn hats and charge forward, creating a uniquely Taiwanese scene of thousands of bulls running together. On October 5, the Lamigirls will also appear in person to cheer on all participants.

Chen Kuo-chun, Director of the New Taipei City Tourism and Travel Bureau, stated that in recent years, the most popular sports in Taiwan have been walking and running. New Taipei City boasts the vast Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park, covering an area of 424 hectares – 1.5 times the size of New York’s Central Park and equivalent to 16 Da’an Forest Parks. It is perfect for a variety of activities such as walking, running, cycling, water sports, baseball, and basketball. In May this year, the city government held a walking event here, which received an enthusiastic response from the public. The “Free to Play” group even praised it as a “super park,” offering not only sports but also enjoyment of natural ecology and waterfront scenery.

Registrations have already started enthusiastically at La new stores nationwide. From now until October 2, anyone capable of completing a 4.2 km run or 8 km walk is welcome to sign up. Whether for the mini marathon or the walk, registering and paying 499 NT$ comes with a free event sling backpack. Present your check-in stub at any La new store nationwide when purchasing specified products to get an immediate 500 NT$ discount. Participants will also receive the sun-shading bull horn hats worn by the Lamigirls, creating a spectacular scene of “mass walk, with thousands of bulls charging!” Groups of three or more friends and family can sign up together to receive “benefit coupons,” plus a group photo and extra chances to win prizes. Those who attend the event also have the chance to win a 300,000 NT$ cash prize.
