From now until February 16, the Galaxy Macau Resort will host the “Fortune Shines in Golden Light” New Year celebration at the outdoor artificial lake area of The Venetian Macao. Key highlights include exquisitely decorated fiberglass horse sculptures, 3D light projection shows, a colorful carousel, a New Year archway, and a massive 40-foot tall peach blossom tree. Additional activities include fortune-telling, lucky draws, calligraphy stalls for writing spring couplets, balloon-twisting games, a real snow ice rink, and LED-enhanced lion and dragon dances.

To celebrate the Year of the Horse, the Galaxy Macau Resort has partnered with the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region to support the local art event “Anno Equitum.” Thirty-eight local Macanese artists have each designed festive New Year-themed decorations for a two-meter-tall horse sculpture, showcasing boundless creativity—ranging from horses draped in red lace, painted with black-green patterns, adorned with gold sequins and glittering beads, to those featuring cityscape motifs of Macao. From now until February 16, 18 of these colorful and unique horse sculptures will be displayed at the outdoor artificial lake area, while the other 20 will be placed at various locations around Macao.

Another must-see highlight of “Fortune Shines in Golden Light” is the 3D light projection show of the same name, which also incorporates New Year elements. The show will run daily from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM until February 16, with projections every 30 minutes on the exterior walls of The Venetian Macao, taking audiences on an imaginative journey. This visually stunning experience will feature festive imagery such as bidding farewell to the Year of the Snake and welcoming the Year of the Horse, as well as auspicious scenes like a shower of golden coins. Other exciting performances include LED-enhanced lion and dragon dances, scheduled for 6:41 PM and 7:41 PM every evening from January 31 to February 9, each lasting 10 minutes. The God of Fortune will also make appearances from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM daily from January 31 to February 9 at the outdoor artificial lake area, handing out chocolate ingots symbolizing wealth and good luck to visitors.

Additionally, a shimmering New Year archway will welcome visitors to the Galaxy Macau Resort to celebrate the New Year. The site is also decorated with a golden wishing tree, features a real snow ice rink, a 40-foot tall peach blossom tree, and a magnificent carousel. Visitors can also enjoy fortune-telling, take part in a lucky draw (prizes include free entries to the ice rink and carousel), try their hand at writing spring couplets, and play balloon-twisting games at themed booths. Each game requires a minimum donation of MOP 10 per play, and all proceeds will be donated to the Macao branch of Orbis International, a global non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to blindness prevention.
