Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Huis Ten Bosch in Japan has been temporarily closed since February 29. Huis Ten Bosch theme park, located in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, is also commonly known as “Holland Village” due to its Dutch and European-inspired design. The exotic-themed park is now filled with blooming flowers, bringing the feeling of spring. Netizens have responded enthusiastically, praising the tulips for being gorgeous and beautiful, with some saying, “I don’t want to see the flowers that the staff worked so hard to plant go to waste.” Others mentioned that after watching the videos, they felt “like they had the entire garden to themselves,” were “healed by the beautiful scenery,” and hoped “everyone’s mood would brighten up.”

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, Huis Ten Bosch will be temporarily closed from now until March 15. From March 16 to March 22, indoor facilities will remain closed, but some outdoor facilities, hotels, restaurants (excluding buffets), and retail shops will remain open. Additionally, the new area “Lumina Fantasy,” originally scheduled to open on March 20, has been postponed; the new opening date will be announced later via the official website. Meanwhile, the “Spring Kyushu First Fireworks Festival” planned for April 4 has been canceled as it is considered a large-scale gathering event.
