Renowned for its seafood stir-fries, Liaoning Street Night Market is a great place for office workers to unwind and enjoy a satisfying meal. When the lights come on and the aroma wafts through the air, gathering with friends to sample local snacks and have a good time is truly one of life’s great pleasures. The “2014 Taipei Night Market Food Festival” promotion brings together six major night markets for a grand event. It kicks off first at Liaoning Street Night Market on Friday, June 6th (6/6)! To address public concerns about food safety, this year’s series of promotional activities specially integrates the “Taipei City Ingredient Registration Platform.” By using mobile devices to scan QR codes, you can instantly check ingredient information for peace of mind. Additionally, you can participate in challenges, collect stamps, receive discount coupons, and join lucky draws for bigger prizes—allowing everyone to shop happily and eat with confidence.

Additionally, the organizers have added fun to the event by inviting consumers whose names sound like or are homophones of ingredients—such as “Jian Jidan (sounds like ‘egg’)”, “Yang Xiaopai (sounds like ‘lamb chops’)”, or “Mei Shengcai (sounds like ‘romaine lettuce’)”—to take part.Eligible participants should visit the on-site event service booth on the day of the promotion, Friday, June 6th (6/6), and show their ID to prove they have a “delicious ingredient name.” Once verified, they will receive a complimentary “NT$50 night market voucher.” (Limited to 10 people per day, while supplies last.)

If you find that a QR code cannot be scanned, it may be due to compatibility issues with certain apps. We have made extensive adjustments to improve compatibility and expand convenient access for users. Your feedback is welcome, and we will continue to refine the platform based on public needs. For any scanning issues, we recommend using commonly available apps such as the Android version of “QR Droid” or the iOS version of “Best Barcode” for scanning and querying.
