Following the three-story octopus water slide at the Miaoli Miaolimei Parent-Child Park, Miaoli’s second themed parent-child park “Shishan Multi-Purpose Sports Park” has made its debut in Zhunan. After a trial operation during the 228 Holiday, it was officially opened recently and has become very popular among children.

Covering an area of 2.06 hectares, Shishan Parent-Child Park includes a play area, parking lot, and lawn green space. Themed “Mountain Forest Green Adventure · Insect Forest Park,” it integrates the dual core landscapes of Toufen’s mountains and Zhunan’s forests, offering 11 types of play facilities such as the Lava Mountain Landscape Slide, Ladybug Green Hill Slide, Beehive Foot Wash Pool, Mushroom Toilet, Sandbox, Inclusive Bird’s Nest Swing, Seesaw, Spinning Flywheel, and Climbing Wall.

The main play facility, the “Lava Mountain Landscape Slide,” combines the dual core landscapes of Toufen’s mountains and Zhunan’s forests. It features a roughly 2-meter-high polished stone tunnel slide, along with multiple 4-meter-high colorful hillside slides and a spiderweb-like climbing net—perfect for playing and burning off energy with kids.

In addition to play facilities, the park also offers comprehensive accessible facilities, nighttime lighting, parking lots, and weekend markets, making it safe for exercise and play both day and night. There are nearly 200 parking spaces planned on both sides of the park, and the parent-child park has three entrances with ample parking space nearby.

Additionally, to support balanced regional development, a third parent-child park is expected to be completed before the Lunar New Year next year near Yuanli High School. It is planned to incorporate local agricultural features and rush mat culture, creating several parent-child parks that reflect local characteristics.
