The Shawshank Redemption

It tells the story of banker Andy Dufresne (played by Tim Robbins), who is sentenced to life in prison for a crime he didn't commit — the murder of his wife and her lover. With Red’s friendship, Andy’s fortunes begin to change. He uses his financial knowledge to earn respect within the prison walls and even secretly launders money for the corrupt warden. Facing rampant corruption and evil, Andy overcomes fear and devises an ingenious escape plan with the help of his prison allies and friendships.

William H. Pitsenbarger (played by Jeremy Irvine) was an Air Force pararescue medic who saved over 60 soldiers during the Vietnam War. In the end, he gave up his chance to evacuate by helicopter and chose to continue rescuing trapped comrades, eventually sacrificing his life to enemy fire.

For his heroism, he was awarded the highest military honor — the Medal of Honor — recognizing acts above and beyond the call of duty. But before the medal could be officially presented, political reasons led to the revocation of his recognition. Pentagon investigator Scott Huffman (played by Sebastian Stan) is assigned to investigate the injustice and uncovers a web of corruption among politicians who refused to award the medal.
