Local business districts in Ningxia are using mascot marketing to connect with consumers. They aim to promote the district brand through online campaigns and physical events, generating new buzz following the success of the "Thousand-Year Banquet." To coincide with the summer vacation consumption peak, the “Bear Loves to Eat” point-collecting campaign kicked off on August 8.From August 8 to August 31, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, customers who spend NT$50 or more at participating shops in the district or take a photo with Ningxia Bear can receive a sticker. Collect six stickers for a chance to win prizes such as vouchers for the Thousand-Year Banquet, food discounts, and an inflatable Ningxia Bear from one of two service desks within the district.

The “Bear Loves to Eat” event has been running for three weeks now, with around 1,500 visitors gathering points and joining the lucky draw each weekend. So far, eight lucky participants have won vouchers for the always-packed Thousand-Year Banquet, and nearly 600 district gifts have been generously given away. Winners have been raving about their good fortune. There are still approximately 200 prizes left to be claimed this week, including Thousand-Year Banquet vouchers, food discount coupons, inflatable Ningxia Bears, and the Ningxia ALL YES special book — all still available. Shop owners also remind customers to visit the service desks to join the draw. Additionally, to help more people get to know the Ningxia District mascot, Ningxia Bear has been scheduled to appear at public events throughout August, including the Star Business District Certification Ceremony, FU Datong, and the Taiwan Food Exhibition — the bear’s schedule is fully booked. At event sites, crowds flock to take photos with the adorable Ningxia Bear, and even more excitingly, the bear shows off some impressive dance moves, winning everyone over. Those who haven’t yet seen Ningxia Bear should seize the opportunity to meet, hug, and even dance with the bear during the event period!

Xu Qiongwen, chairperson of the Ningxia Business District, expressed gratitude to the Taipei City Department of Commerce for assisting with district marketing by organizing events such as “Bear Loves to Eat” and the “Taipei Shopping Festival,” giving back to the many patrons who have long supported the area. The positive response to these activities has also benefited numerous local businesses, bringing in increased foot traffic. The goal is to let the public both eat and take home rewards, and the hope is that consumers will continue to “stick around” in Ningxia District. Everyone is warmly invited to come and enjoy the fun in Ningxia District.

The “Bear Loves to Eat” campaign continues to sizzle during the last weekend of August — August 29–31 (Friday to Sunday), starting promptly at 6:00 PM. Ningxia Bear will make hourly appearances to greet visitors. Those wanting to create lasting summer memories should hurry!
