Inspired by Cutty Sark, one of the most important tea clippers in British history, CUTTY SARK British Tea House is Taiwan’s first specialty store dedicated to authentic British black tea and classic English baked goods—a true Tea Room. Aside from those in London and Tokyo, it is also Taiwan’s first Alice-themed layered afternoon tea café.

Mastering the golden ratio of tea blending, CUTTY SARK British Tea House is the first in Taiwan to establish a Black Tea Culture Academy. With partner tea plantations in India and Sri Lanka, it is committed to bringing the British black tea lifestyle to consumers through various courses such as golden pour brewing, tea blending, fancy iced teas, tableware aesthetics, social etiquette, and home décor matching... The tea is always brewed fresh on-site using the perfect golden ratio that highlights the unique characteristics of estate-grown and flavored blends. The shop’s popular milk tea is freshly cooked to order using an exclusive golden ratio recipe—only a touch of sugar is needed to bring out the rich, smooth tea aroma, making it both healthy and delicious.

To enjoy authentic British black tea, classic English baked goods are essential. Japanese head baker Togi Rie, who trained at Betty’s Tea Room in York, England, has been a fan of Britain since childhood and is determined to make the world’s best scone. Having studied and trained in the UK, she brings traditional and classic English baking elements to CUTTY SARK. From meringue lemon tarts and Madeira cake to Bakewell tarts, coffee walnut cake, trifle, and Yorkshire pudding... every detail—from ingredient selection and baking tools to the stories behind each pastry—reflects her dedication and craftsmanship.

Interestingly, CUTTY SARK British Tea House specially created an ATT-exclusive Alice-themed layered afternoon tea for its grand opening at ATT4fun’s Sweet Kingdom. All the classic elements of afternoon tea become characters in the story—there’s Mr. Rabbit’s clock-shaped cake with adorable carrot hands as the clock hands, a Mad Hatter cake made from Belgian chocolate, the ever-changing “Drink Me Eastern Elixir” potion with seasonal recipes, even finger sandwiches shaped like the Queen of Hearts’ playing card soldiers, and the jam tart that was stolen from the Queen in the story—all allowing guests to immerse themselves in Alice’s magical adventure.
