Since its New Year's Day opening, the new landmark of Tainan — the Chimei Museum — has seen a daily influx of large numbers of visitors. During the New Year holiday, the number of tourists even reached 120,000. Currently, the museum still operates via an online reservation system, which has been in high demand. As of February, all online reservation slots have been fully booked. However, the public can still visit the outdoor masterpieces of sculpture and take advantage of discounted offers to explore the nearby Taiwan Sugar Ten Drums Cultural Village.

Founded in 1992, the newly built Chimei Museum is located within the Tainan Metropolitan Park. Operated by the Chimei Museum Foundation, it aims to be a grassroots-oriented, public museum that actively contributes to the development of local art and culture clusters, as well as serving as a driving force for Tainan’s cultural tourism.
