Since its preparatory stages in 2003, the New Taipei City Gold Museum has planned to establish the Gold Exhibition Hall. It officially opened at the end of 2004, and ever since, both domestic and international tourists have flocked here to personally touch the museum's prized treasure — a 220.3-kilogram pure gold bullion — hoping to invite wealth and fortune.

The Gold Museum, located on a mountainside, looks left toward Keelung’s Beauty Mountain, right toward Teapot Mountain, and has the Gold Shrine and Rhino Head Mountain behind it. The ‘Gold Exhibition Hall’ also serves as a junction for various hiking trails, allowing visitors to enjoy elevated views while exploring.Museum officials noted that due to weather conditions, this year’s Miscanthus season started later and the blooming is expected to continue until the end of January. As the season draws to a close, everyone is welcome to come here to listen to the enduring golden stories of the mines while admiring the beautiful Miscanthus blossoms.
