Alien Backpackers Travel in Taiwan: TRA’s Sci-Fi Themed Train "Evolution 1001" Departs

The Taiwan Railways Administration specially invited designer and artist Akibo  Lee (Teacher Li Mingdao) to transform Director-General’s executive car DRC1001 into the "Evolution 1001" sci-fi themed train. The "Evolution 1001" themed train will carry alien railway enthusiasts Mr. Ten and Miss One as they search for a place to call home, starting from January 27 and running consecutively on branch lines such as the Pingxi Line, Neiwan Line, and Jiji Line.

The alien railway enthusiast Mr. Ten has a big head filled with travel maps of various galaxies, while Miss One has a sensitive antenna on her head that helps her find delicious food and touching stories around the world. They are a pair of cosmic backpackers who travel between planets working in exchange for accommodation. This time, they chose Earth from the galaxy to travel and unexpectedly fell in love with Taiwan, especially its extensive railway network. So they decided to apply for jobs at TRA. After personally interviewing them, the Director-General gave them a task: to transform his executive car into a sci-fi travel-themed train and serve as train conductors. They gave the car a major makeover, naming it "Evolution 1001," ready to take everyone on a magical and dreamlike journey to find a home.
