To celebrate the summer season, Harbour City has invited internationally renowned American hyperrealism sculpture artist Carole A. Feuerman to hold her first solo exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region right here in Hong Kong. From June 18 to July 5, the open-air plaza of Ocean Terminal in Harbour City transforms into an “outdoor pool,” where you can see several “gracefully toned women” who have traveled from the U.S. to Hong Kong to “swim” in the “pool.”

Internationally celebrated hyperrealist sculpture artist Carole A. Feuerman showcases a series of six swimming-themed sculptures at the open-air plaza of Ocean Terminal. Harbour City also collaborated with Hong Kong multidisciplinary space designer Mr. Tong Siu Wing and two Asian trompe-l'œil artists—Bao Zhuowei (Hong Kong) and Cao Hankai (Malaysia)—to design an artistic pool that also serves as a platform for artist exchange. The pool features human sculptures in various swimwear poses, including one modeled after Olympic athlete Lauren Perdue swimming in the pool, lounging in bubbles, and practicing yoga on a giant silver sphere—all with their eyes closed to spark the imagination.

This collaboration between Asian and international artists has also fostered East-West artistic exchange. Three-dimensional hyperrealistic human sculptures are displayed against two-dimensional optical illusion murals, blending two distinct art forms harmoniously to present a new approach to public art. The entire exhibition offers a stunning visual experience, and the harbor-view “pool” connects closely with the pulse of the city, allowing the public to appreciate dynamic Hong Kong from a fresh perspective.
