Japan’s Sanrio and Fujiko F. Fujio’s wildly popular characters “Hello Kitty” and “Doraemon” have joined forces to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Doraemon’s manga serialization in 2015 and Hello Kitty’s 40th anniversary last year. Starting in August 2015, they launched the ultimate collaboration project “DORAEMON × HELLO KITTY,” bringing together as many as 50 companies to release approximately 320 products. Fans of both franchises are eagerly anticipating this exciting partnership.

The highly anticipated collaboration “DORAEMON × HELLO KITTY” first released promotional photos through official channels earlier this year, sparking lively discussions among fans. Now, the project is confirmed to roll out as a limited-time store campaign across Japan starting in August, targeting consumers aged 20 to 30. The collection includes a variety of collaborative goods such as sundries, apparel, daily necessities, and stationery... In addition to department stores and specialty shops, fans can also purchase related items online through Sanrio’s e-commerce platform.

The collaboration series is scheduled to kick off from August 12 to 25 first atTakashimaya Department Store in Nihonbashiwith a limited-time store titled “Doraemon meets Hello Kitty at Takashimaya,” followed by subsequent openings atSeibu Ikebukuro Main Store and Keio Department Store Shinjukuamong other locations.
