The economic charm of GaoKao characters is budding. Taiwan's first railway company-owned virtual character itasha train—“GaoKao Girls Itasha” (itasha originates from Japan and refers to vehicles covered in anime characters)—will be serving passengers on the Orange Line of Kaohsiung MRT starting today until November 1.

This summer, Kaohsiung MRT stations are filled with youthful energy. The “GaoKao Girls Itasha” train has officially launched on the Orange Line starting today, and the fourth new member of the GaoKao Girls—Nainai—makes her first appearance in a professional customer service role, marking the full lineup of GaoKao Girls. The “GaoKao Girls Itasha” will run on the Orange Line of Kaohsiung MRT from today until November 1. The train’s design features three main themes: a day in the life of the GaoKao Girls, their favorite public artworks, and sweet reminders from the girls. Each car is decorated with vivid and bright illustrations that highlight the unique characteristics of each girl, allowing fans riding the train to feel as if they’re immersed in the world of the GaoKao Girls and interacting with them, while also learning more about Kaohsiung MRT. In addition, Yanchengpu Station on the Orange Line is the birthplace of the GaoKao Girls. To give fans an extra sweet surprise, the itasha-themed design has been transplanted in full-size artwork at the station.
