Following the Seven Stars in Kyushu, Japan’s Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu) has once again unveiled a brand-new sightseeing train, “Aru Ressha,” which officially began service on August 8. Combining classic European and Japanese retro styles, the train is not only dazzling on the outside, but also features an opulent interior design.

The design of this “Aru Ressha” was inspired by the model of the train of the same name created by Shin Tarō, and was then brought to life by the former director of the Railway Museum. It recreates the look of a luxury train from a century ago. The entire train features a golden color scheme accented with black patterns, presenting a luxurious appearance. The train has two carriages: Carriage No. 1 boasts a classic European romantic ambiance with open seating; Carriage No. 2 offers individual Japanese-style wooden compartments for two. The train serves meals designed by renowned Japanese chef Narisawa Hiroyuki, including one main dish, three desserts, and traditional Japanese sweets.
