Thai Airways welcomed its first A350XWB on August 31, with plans to add 12 more A350XWBs to its fleet (8 of which will be leased). The Thai Airways A350 features a consistent Thai modern design, with 321 seats including 32 business class and 289 economy class. Business class is equipped with 21” fully flat reclining seats, 16” touchscreen AVOD in-flight entertainment systems, and in-flight Wi-Fi. Economy class seats have a pitch of 32”, 18” seats, and 11” touchscreen personal entertainment systems.

Thai Airways plans to launch international flights from Bangkok to Melbourne starting in October, initially serving Bangkok–Chiang Mai and Bangkok–Phuket routes.
