Tokyo has a new shopping paradise to offer. Located near the famous cherry blossom spot of Meguro River, under the elevated tracks in Nakameguro, 14 new-style shops and restaurants will gather here, along with 2 highly anticipated first-time openings in the Kanto region and a collection of the most popular stores, all set to open on November 22, 2016, in the space beneath the elevated tracks right next to Nakameguro Station. At that time, 28 uniquely styled shops and dining spots will open to the public along the approximately 700-meter stretch of elevated tracks in the Nakameguro area.

The literary favorite “Tsutaya Bookstore” will also open a new location here, with operating hours that are very visitor-friendly—from 7 AM to midnight, every day of the year.

“Nakameguro Elevated Tracks” is a collaborative project between Tokyu Corporation and Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd., making full use of the previously idle space beneath the railway viaduct. The long-neglected 700-meter stretch has been cleverly transformed into a fashionable new urban landscape around Nakameguro.
