Since the opening of the 2016 New Taipei City Happy Christmas City, exciting events have been launched every week, attracting thousands of visitors from across the country. The most anticipated highlight, the “Mega Christmas Concert,” will make its grand debut this year for three consecutive days (December 16, 17, and 18) at the New Taipei City Civic Plaza. The lineup for the “Mega Christmas Concert” is also spectacular, bringing the best Christmas gift to all visitors!

For three evenings from 6 PM to 10 PM, the concerts will deliver the most exciting and electrifying performances. Under the eager eyes of tens of thousands of spectators, the three concerts will be headlined by the heavyweight “Golden Melody Double Kings”—JJ Lin and Show Lo—along with nearly 30 acts taking the stage in powerful performances. The lineup includes popular Mandopop groups such as Lion, GTM, Popu Lady, and 831; idol heartthrobs Bii (Bi Shu Jin), Wei Leyan, Chen Shian, Eric Chou, Wu Sih Hsien, Lee Yu Hsi, JPM’s Nicky Wu, Shen Jianhong, and Drummer Kuo; powerhouse female vocalists such as Selina Ren Jia Xuan, Genie Zhuo, Yuki Yen, Joyce Lee, Yi Wei, Pepper Hsu, Ann Bai, Karen Kou, Lulu Hsueh, and Erika; as well as internationally renowned acts including the Korean boy band TOP SECRET and the adorable duo Left and Right... Among them, JJ Lin, Show Lo, and Bii (Bi Shu Jin) have consistently received numerous invitations for Taiwan’s countdown concerts, but this year the three male stars have turned down all other New Year’s Eve show offers to perform exclusively at the “2016 New Taipei City Happy Christmas City.”

The first concert on December 16 will kick off under the hosting of Sha Sha and the charming GTM hosts. Then, on December 17, the Golden Bell Award-winning hosting duo Huang Zi Jiao and Hao Jiao Qi will take the stage, with Huang Zi Jiao leading alongside Popu Lady members Hong Shi and Yu Shan. They will bring TVBS’s “Global Chinese Music Chart” innovative “virtual-integrated” concept to the “Mega Christmas Concert,” allowing TV audiences to enjoy the excitement of the live show from home without leaving their couches. The final concert on December 18 will feature the “Puling Gong” comedy duo Hao Jiao Qi alongside renowned singer Karen Kou, marking their first time co-hosting together. The glitz of Golden Bell and Golden Melody awards will shine brightly over the New Taipei Happy Christmas City.
With large crowds expected during the concert period, the New Taipei City Tourism Bureau reminds the public to use public transportation to get to the venue (the site is adjacent to Banqiao Station, which integrates train and MRT services) to experience the most dazzling New Taipei Happy Christmas City conveniently and quickly.
