On the 19th, 2 new domestic cases were reported, bringing the total to 24！The number of cases on the Diamond Princess has risen to 621, with passengers gradually disembarking. Five Taiwanese passengers were brought back to Taiwan on the 21st, and the evolving epidemic situation remains a concern.

Among the 24 confirmed cases, 1 has died, while the rest are in stable condition. Currently, 167 contacts are under home quarantine, among which 5 have shown symptoms and been reported (4 have been ruled out, 1 is under testing).
For the 19th and 20th central Taiwan family cluster incidents, as of now, 217 contacts have been tested, with 4 confirmed cases (including the 23rd case, who is the 60-year-old sister of the 19th case’s unlicensed driver), 189 negative results, and 24 still under testing.
On the evening of the 19th, the 24th confirmed case of COVID-19 (Wuhan pneumonia) in Taiwan was announced, a woman in her 60s from northern Taiwan with no overseas travel history. The case is currently undergoing isolated treatment.
A total of 360 close contacts of this case have been identified, including family members, friends, and clinic/hospital personnel. Testing arrangements for the contacts are underway. Further investigation will continue to identify any additional contacts for further tracing, testing, and quarantine.
Meanwhile, the epidemic in China continues to expand, with Hong Kong and Macau tour groups suspending trips until the end of April. Most travelers have also postponed going abroad, leaving airports empty.
As of the 18th, 44 new severe pneumonia (COVID-19) reports were added domestically, bringing the total number of reported cases to 1,913, including 23 confirmed, 1,812 ruled out, and the remainder under isolation and testing (30 preliminarily tested negative, others pending).
According to data released by China's CDC and health commissions across provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, all 31 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in mainland China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau SARs) have cumulatively confirmed 74,185 COVID-19 (Wuhan pneumonia) cases, an increase of 1,749 from the previous day, including 11,977 severe cases and 2,004 deaths. The number of new cases in Hubei Province remained flat, while the increase in other provinces has slowed.
Internationally, there are 951 confirmed cases distributed across 27 countries/regions; the highest numbers are on the Diamond Princess in Japan with 531 cases (including 4 from the same country)*—which had risen to 621 cases (including 5 from the same country) by the evening of the 19th, Singapore with 81 cases, Hong Kong with 62 cases, Japan with 59 cases, and Thailand with 35 cases. There have been 4 deaths globally, one each in France, Japan, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. Over 72 countries worldwide have implemented travel restrictions on China.
