According to Canada's Ming Pao Daily News, Chinese-Canadian woman Amy Tso from Surrey recalled her first time hiking the Grouse Grind trail on Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver, saying she found it hard to breathe and was gasping for air. However, last Friday, she set the highest female record by completing 1,000 hikes, becoming the true "Queen of the Grouse Grind."
The 31-year-old Amy Tso, whose parents are immigrants from Hong Kong, is a native of Vancouver. Tso revealed that she first hiked this famous North Shore trail in 2005, and by 2009, she began hiking regularly, even making multiple round trips in a single day. Gradually, her friends started calling her the "Queen of the Grouse Grind."
