Ageless Riders on Scooters Take Center Stage, Colorful Bowl Festival and White Container Houses Catch the Eye

As an aging society approaches, the Hongdao Foundation for the Elderly Welfare led 17 "ageless riders" with an average age of 81 to complete the remarkable feat of riding motorcycles around Taiwan in 2007. From that moment on, the "ageless spirit" began to gain momentum in Taiwan, and "ageless dreams" started to unfold one after another. In 2016, in response to Taichung City’s elderly care policies and to revitalize historic buildings, the former residence of the Taichung Mayor was transformed into "Ageless Dreams No. 125." This not only revitalized a historic structure but also conveyed the ageless spirit.

"Ageless Dreams No. 125" is not only a symbol of the ageless spirit but has also become a new hub for cultural creativity. The historic mansion, paired with popular container houses and markets, transforms traditional old-time flavors into innovative cultural foods. The ageless cuisine offered here not only showcases the creativity of the elderly but also highlights the blend of tradition and cultural creativity.
