2013 flew by, and 2014, the Year of the Horse, arrived in full swing. Just as everyone was celebrating the “1314 New Year’s Eve moment,” ALPINE PRO (Alpine Pro) took the first step to celebrate the new year: on New Year's Day 2014, the “Dad, Let’s Go Skiing” family outdoor ski festival was held at Shenyang’s GuaiPo Ski Resort. The event received unanimous praise from both the GuaiPo Ski Resort and the participants.
The event site was exceptionally lively, with the number of registrations far exceeding expectations—once again proving that “family outdoor” activities are increasingly embraced. On the morning of the event, many parents arrived early with their children, and the registration scene was bustling with excitement. Additional on-site registrations for families wishing to ski at GuaiPo were accepted, yet many families still regrettably couldn’t participate, expressing hopes to join next year’s Alpine Pro family ski event.
The event designed a series of exciting parent-child interactive activities for families attending: free lessons, snow play, friendly competitions, and sharing sessions. The atmosphere was high-spirited, and laughter echoed under the clear blue sky.

After the warm-up games, everyone couldn’t wait to dive into the skiing competitions—the moment to show their skills had finally arrived.
“Dad, Let’s Go Skiing” not only featured a variety of competitions and games but also included an exhilarating ski performance show, performed by 12-year-old skiing enthusiast Liu Hanbo. Liu Hanbo practiced Go from a young age and has now reached the amateur 4-dan level. His long-term study of Go made him rather introverted. Hoping to help him become more outgoing, his parents took him skiing during the 2010 snow season—and from then on, Hanbo fell head over heels for the sport. His personality became much brighter, and he is now in his fourth ski season. He has attended the Beijing Youth Ski Training Camp for two consecutive years and is a rising star in the Shenyang skiing community, especially known for his skills on a snowboard.
The Alpine Pro “Dad, Let’s Go Skiing!” event offered plenty of prizes. During the game segments, four competing family teams won the Group Excellence Award, while another four families received the Most In-Sync Family Award and the Most Creative Family Award. During the competition segment, after fierce rivalry among the young contestants, 12 young skiers won first, second, and third prizes in the Snowboard Pro, Challenge, Alpine Pro, and Challenge groups—with each category having first, second, and third places. The young skiers not only earned honors for themselves but also prizes for their parents, including a grand prize: a nearly 8,000 RMB family skiwear set for parents and kids. The joyful games, intense competitions, and exciting performances made this Alpine Pro-hosted event truly spectacular.
The ALPINE PRO (Alpine Pro) “Dad, Let’s Go Skiing!” family outdoor ski festival concluded amid laughter and joy. The event not only fostered recognition and support for the “family outdoor” concept but also strengthened the bond between parents and children. Genuine smiles could be seen everywhere at the venue—that is precisely the goal of ALPINE PRO (Alpine Pro) in organizing the “Dad, Let’s Go Skiing!” family outdoor ski festival.
