Recommended destination: Xianyang Yuanjia Village

Recommended reasons:Surrounded by fruit trees, it’s perfect for strolling through orchards with family and friends—admiring flowers in spring and picking fruit in autumn—allowing you to relax and connect with nature.

Yuanjia Village lies within the Xixian half-hour economic circle, just a one-hour drive from Xi’an, making it one of the most popular rural tourism destinations in the province and beyond.

Walking into Yuanjia Village in Yinxia Town, Liquan County, you’ll find rows of traditional buildings with grey bricks and tiles, carved beams, and painted rafters. Peeking inside the workshops, you’ll see handmade crafts in action: freshly ground sesame oil, traditional Luji tofu-making, yogurt processing... A dazzling array of traditional skills will leave you enchanted and reluctant to leave.

Climb and tour the Tang Dynasty Zhaoling Mausoleum, the underground palaces of Noble Consort Wei and Princess Chang Le. In Yuanjia Village, admire blooming flowers—apricot, pear, peach, and apple blossoms abound.

Main attractions in Yuanjia Village include: Zhaoling, Zhaoling Museum, and Liquan Royal Peach Scenic Area.

Recommended destination: Mawei Yi Folk Experience Park

Recommended reasons:Centered around Tang-style culture, the park highlights traditional roots, preserves historical memory, and showcases folk characteristics.

Mawei Yi Folk Experience Park combines cultural tourism, folk culture display, leisure experiences, and sightseeing. It features eight major zones: the Courier Culture Plaza, Folk Culture Exhibition Area, Ethnic Snack Street, Fishing Area, Poultry Eco-Farming Zone, and Hundred-Fruit Orchard. Built on original slopes away from the village, it blends history, humanity, and nature seamlessly.

In the Tang Dynasty, Mawei Yi was the first courier station on the western route. The folk culture village is built on the original site, featuring classic antique architecture that instantly transports you back over a thousand years. Aside from exploring old streets, experiencing folk culture, and sampling local snacks, you can also visit the nearby Huangshan Palace observation tower. (Huangshan Palace was where Laozi once stayed while preaching.)

Recommended destination: Xunhua County Xiancang Village

Xunhua County’s Xiancang Village lies next to the picturesque Zhongshan Ecological Forest Park, a key stop on the Zhongshan sightseeing route. The village boasts well-preserved ecology and beautifully landscaped homes and courtyards. In recent years, it has developed agrotourism, attracting a large number of visitors from within and outside the province. It has been recognized by the Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Bureau as a “Rural Tourism Demonstration Village.”
