As the epidemic spreads, the Wuhan pneumonia outbreak has spiraled out of control in China, with multiple cities successively going into lockdown—even Beijing has entered "closed-off management," which, though seemingly a semi-lockdown, shows the severity of the situation as even first-tier cities in mainland China are affected. After Beijing’s semi-lockdown, Shanghai has become the next key indicator, with the normal operation of flights also under close watch.

In addition, several countries have banned Chinese tourists from entering, including South Korea, Singapore, Canada, and New Zealand, all of which have been impacted in their tourism industries. Japan has not yet imposed a ban, but the impact has been severe, with some businesses even posting signs that say they do not welcome Chinese tourists.
Cities in China that have gone into lockdown include five provinces—Guangdong, Anhui, Liaoning, Jiangxi—as well as eight cities: Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Tianjin, Chengdu, Nanjing, Guangzhou, and Beijing, totaling 80 cities that have successively announced a semi-lockdown state of "community closed-off management."

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced that starting from 00:00 on February 10, passengers transiting through Hong Kong or Macau to enter Taiwan will be required to undergo 14 days of home quarantine. As for Guangdong Province in mainland China, which has been classified as a Level 2 epidemic area since February 2, Wenzhou since February 3, and all of mainland China since February 6, passengers transiting through or entering from these epidemic areas will be subject to 14 days of home quarantine from the date they were designated as such.
