Another cherry blossom hotspot is in full bloom—now is the most beautiful time for Taiwan’s mountain cherry blossoms. In locations such as the Wulai Warriors Square, the Kalamugi Industrial Road in Fushan Village, and the Ma’an Industrial Road, you can see vibrant pink mountain cherry blossoms adorning the branches, with flowers dancing in the wind as far as the eye can see, creating a colorful scene!

Wulai has long been a top choice for many hot spring enthusiasts, offering fresh and invigorating mountain air and the majestic Wulai Waterfall. Currently, about 70% of the mountain cherry blossoms in Wulai have bloomed, with the best blossoms found at Warriors Square. You can take the tram from Wulai Old Street to get there. Beside the square, the waterfall cascades down from the valley, surrounded by misty mountains and pink cherry blossoms bursting into bloom, resembling a traditional ink painting.

Cherry blossom trees across Wulai are quietly coming into bloom.
In addition to Warriors Square, the road leading to the Kalamugi Industrial Road in Fushan Village is also covered with blooming cherry blossoms, making it perfect for a hiking stroll. Aside from flower viewing and hot spring bathing, a trip to Wulai also allows you to explore the old street, sample local Indigenous delicacies, experience Atayal culture, and plan a light half-day travel itinerary.

The Wulai Waterfall is one of the area’s famous scenic attractions.
The blooming period of Taiwan’s mountain cherry blossoms begins in mid-January and continues until mid-February. Afterwards, Kawazu-zakura and Fuji cherry blossoms will gradually bloom, with cherry blossoms viewable across Taiwan until March. If you want to admire the breathtaking pink cherry blossom petals in full bloom, hurry and plan a trip during a holiday to Wulai.
