In the beautiful coastal city of Qingdao, Shilaoren Beach is very famous. This is because about 100 meters from the shore stands a 17-meter-tall stone pillar that resembles an old man sitting in the blue sea. Here, you can greet the sunrise every day and watch the sunset fade away, with crystal-clear sands, a blue sky, and azure waters reflecting one another. Watching the shimmering light dancing on the sea surface, it’s definitely a great destination for a family trip.

A summer family trip not only allows children to break free from the “study-heavy” holidays, but also helps develop their independence and autonomy, enabling them to experience the real coastal world with their hearts. For kids who are reluctant to stay at home during the summer break, going to the seaside for a family trip and freezing those precious parent-child moments between the beach and ocean is definitely an unmissable choice.

With the launch of Coleman’s “My Campsite, My Rules” activity, families started arriving at the beach, and the atmosphere gradually became livelier. Coaches were also demonstrating how to use campsite equipment for participating families while sharing some outdoor knowledge, and this hands-on teaching approach kept all the kids focused and highly motivated as they learned.

After the learning session, our tent-pitching competition officially began. Cool dads, cool moms, and adorable kids—each family of three worked together in perfect coordination and clear division of labor. Whenever a small challenge arose during setup, it was always the little ones who first came up with a solution, showing that the learning really paid off. In the end, two teams completed the challenge in the shortest time, and Coleman rewarded them with high-performance insulated buckets to make outdoor life more convenient. Wishing them lots of fun and joy at the beach.

Next came the kids’ moment. The little ones couldn’t wait to put on the safest and cutest flotation vests in the world and started playing and chasing along the beach. Parents didn’t need to worry about their safety in the water at all. Watching the kids play freely, they seemed like magical sprites from fairy tales—mischievous and utterly adorable.

After playing in the water for a while, the kids went to learn an outdoor English dance with the teacher. They seemed full of endless energy, singing and dancing on the beach with the instructor. Parents cheered for their little ones from the sidelines, and the sound of parents’ shouts and the kids’ singing created the most beautiful scene on the beach under the sunset.

The grand finale was our “Smart Challenge.” Whether it was speed-based games like Noah’s Ark or Escape the Dungeon, or skill-testing activities such as Build a Home, Defeat the Guardians, or Leakproof Challenge, the kids managed to complete almost all of them with ease, laughter filling the air. Coleman also hopes to let children enjoy some excitement during their peaceful journey and have fun with their friends while comfortably experiencing the outdoors.
