Last updated 2026-11-08 — The Super 8 Hotel chain, a brand under the U.S.-based Wyndham Hotel Group, was established in 1974 and has now been around for 40 years. Since its official entry into China in 2004, this year also marks its 10th anniversary. To celebrate Super 8’s 10th year in China, the brand has launched a series of special promotions and meaningful events. Entering the fourth quarter of 2014, from October 1 to December 31, Super 8 is going all out and, together with its over 600 franchisees, has launched a consumer-oriented event themed “Cleanliness & Friendliness, Together for Ten Years” – the first-ever Super 8 "(Super) Service Star" Awards.
This awards event aims to encourage the hotel industry to improve overall service quality by inviting guests to vote for the “Service Star” of their stay, highlighting the industry spirit of putting “guest satisfaction” first. At the same time, it seeks to motivate all Super 8 staff and enhance the overall service quality of the Super 8 brand. On the other hand, it also strengthens the connection and communication between Super 8 employees and guests within the brand, rewarding and recognizing guests’ support for the Super 8 brand. By casting a vote for their favorite “Service Star,” guests not only get a 100% chance to win a prize, but also have the opportunity to be randomly selected each week to receive a free Super 8 hotel stay voucher. Additionally, there will be a grand surprise at the end of the event – an iPhone 6!

During the event period, if you are already a Super 8 member, you can participate in voting by successfully checking in via the Super 8 official website / mobile app / official WeChat / mobile web page / or at the hotel front desk (please note that members who check in through group purchases or third-party channels such as Qunar, Ctrip, eLong, Meituan, etc., will not be eligible for this event). If you are not yet a Super 8 member, you can participate by booking through any channel and providing your mobile phone number at the front desk upon check-in. Alternatively, you can also vote by visiting the event page via the Super 8 official website or by scanning the QR code on the [Service Star Poster/Voting Promo Card], then registering or logging in. Each order allows you to vote for up to three employees, but rewards are only given for the first vote, and the three votes per order cannot be cast for the same employee.

Each vote will earn you one lottery draw chance – just by participating, you’re guaranteed a prize, 100% win rate!

According to a Super 8 representative, the grand surprise prize – an iPhone 6 – will be drawn once at the end of the event period, and all participants who voted will have a chance to win. There will also be weekly lucky draw prizes, where one voter each week will receive a free Super 8 hotel stay voucher. Winners will be contacted via SMS or phone by staff within 7 working days to arrange prize delivery. All participants who vote will also receive a 20 RMB electronic voucher or room night points provided by Super 8, which will be directly credited to your membership account and can be used anytime.

As the year draws to a close, whether you’re traveling for business, squeezing in a holiday, or visiting family and friends, don’t hesitate – choose Super 8 Hotels, vote for the “Service Star,” and stand a chance to win an iPhone 6. Choose your preferred way to join in, and take action now!
