Luye Shrine is an unranked shrine originally built for the residents of Longtian Village. It enshrines the Three Gods of Pioneering (Ōkuninushi-no-Mikoto, Sukunabikona-no-Kami, and Ōnamuchi-no-Kami) as well as Prince Kitashirakawa no Miya Yoshihisa. It was jointly constructed by Japanese immigrants in Luye Village through voluntary labor, making it the first shrine in Taiwan built through a collaborative effort between Taiwanese and Japanese craftsmen during the Japanese colonial period in 1923. The architecture is quite simple, consisting only of the main hall, torii gate, and temizuya (hand-washing pavilion).
