Recently, media outlets including Zhejiang Daily, Qianjiang Evening News, and Zhejiang Online jointly announced the winners of the "China's Quality Excellence Zhejiang Overall Ranking List." A total of 20 award-winning entities across four categories were selected, with New Century Hotels & Resorts making the list and receiving the "Management Innovation Award." Only five organizations across the province were honored with this award.
In recent years, Zhejiang’s economy has embarked on a path of transformation and upgrading, shifting from “leading in speed” to “leading in quality.” Many enterprises in Zhejiang have enhanced their core competitiveness by adopting new approaches such as lean production, information technology, and automated manufacturing. Their leading brand products now hold top market shares both domestically and internationally. To promote Zhejiang’s outstanding enterprises, products, and quality standards to a broader global stage, the “China's Quality Excellence Zhejiang Overall Ranking List” 2014 public selection campaign was launched in May, organized by Zhejiang Media Group and hosted by Zhejiang Daily.
Themed “China’s Quality Excellence: Spotlight on Zhejiang Enterprises,” this public selection initiative involved in-depth research on top Zhejiang companies to build a data model for “China’s Quality Excellence.” It aims to guide Chinese enterprises toward achieving qualitative growth and sustainable development through transformation and upgrading. The evaluation was conducted across three major dimensions—“standards, quality, and management”—with ecological and environmental protection as key criteria. The campaign resulted in the 2014 China’s Quality Excellence Zhejiang Overall Ranking List, which includes four major awards: Outstanding Contribution Award, R&D Innovation Award, Standards Innovation Award, and Management Innovation Award.

During the selection period, the campaign’s official website, Zhejiang Online, also launched a dedicated section for the “China’s Quality Excellence Zhejiang Overall Ranking List” to allow public voting and nominations. Based on reader votes and expert opinions, and in accordance with the seven evaluation criteria of the “China’s Quality Excellence Zhejiang Overall Ranking List,” New Century Hotels & Resorts ultimately stood out and received this prestigious honor.
