Four consecutive days of cold but sunny weather come to an end by Monday noon, with the weather turning overcast and chilly starting Monday afternoon.

 

On the 4th (Tuesday), the northeast monsoon strengthens, bringing slightly cooler weather to the north and northeast, with temperatures dropping to a minimum of 13–15 degrees Celsius. From the 5th to the early morning of the 6th, under the influence of the northeast monsoon or continental cold air mass, the north and northeast will be relatively cold, with other regions also experiencing cool mornings and evenings. The northern and eastern parts of the country will see localized brief showers, with a chance of heavier localized rainfall in the northeast. Scattered brief showers are also possible in the mountainous areas of central and southern Taiwan, while other regions will be mostly cloudy to sunny.

 

On the 7th (Friday), a frontal system passes over northern Taiwan and the northeast monsoon strengthens again, making the weather cooler in the north and northeast. Localized brief showers are expected in the north and eastern parts, with scattered brief showers also possible in the mountainous areas of central and southern Taiwan. Other regions will be mostly cloudy to sunny.

 

From the 8th to the 10th (Saturday to Monday), under the influence of the northeast monsoon or continental cold air mass, the north and northeast will be colder, with other regions also seeing cool mornings and evenings. Temperatures will drop as low as 12 degrees on Sunday. Localized brief showers are expected in the north and eastern parts, while other regions will be mostly cloudy to sunny. Scattered brief showers may also occur in the mountainous areas of central and southern Taiwan on the 8th and 9th.

 

Also, there is a chance of localized fog or low clouds affecting visibility in the western parts of the country on the morning of the 4th, and in Matsu as well as the western parts on the mornings of the 6th and 7th—please stay alert.
