Seaside Beach X Fish-Scale Sky Ladder – Hsinchu International Kite Festival

Enchanting harbor seaside views and dazzling, uniquely shaped kites soaring in the sky! The 2018 Hsinchu International Kite Festival features kite competitions by masters from around the world, as well as a brand-new Fish-Scale Sky Ladder and a family-friendly beach area, ensuring fun for both adults and children that lasts long after the festival ends!

Hsinchu City hosted its first International Kite Festival in 2017, also building an international kite competition venue, attracting over a hundred kite masters from around the globe to fly kites in Hsinchu and deliver spectacular kite performance shows!

The 2018 International Kite Festival invites over 15 kite teams and a hundred skilled kite flyers from Italy, Brazil, Sweden, the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Taiwan, promising an even more thrilling and visually stunning kite show, with beautiful kites flying high above Hsinchu Fishing Port!

The 2018 Hsinchu City International Kite Festival specially features themed kite shows such as the “Happy Kids’ Carnival” and the “Animal Party,” showcasing amazing shaped kites brought by various masters, including Russian dolls, Peppa Pig, Peter Pan, One Piece, Stitch, and Travel Frog.

The kite festival also plans many fun daytime and nighttime activities, including colorful kite performances. Essential kite show elements like stunt kites performing impressive sky typography displays and twisting dances, as well as 30-meter-long string kites and candy kites that drop sweets from the sky, are all part of the fun. In the evening, dazzling glow-in-the-dark kites and LED dance performances by kite flyers are also highly anticipated!
