Originally, Tienyuan Temple’s Cherry Blossom King was uprooted due to disease in 2016, but thanks to efforts by the city government and the temple, a new Yoshino cherry tree has been planted in its place. The second-generation Cherry Blossom King has since become a highlight of the annual blossom viewing at the temple.

Currently, Tienyuan Temple features a mountain covered in cold-pink cherry blossoms as its main blooming attraction, making it one of the hottest photo spots for cherry blossoms among travelers in late winter and early spring.
