The Sichuan 10,000-person tour bus group
The mega group at the reception center enters the hall in succession
On May 25, at the Wulong Xiannv Town Tourist Reception Center, a convoy of nearly 200 tour buses, each labeled “Sichuan 10,000-Person Mega Group Tours Wulong,” entered the parking lot one after another. A seemingly endless line of tourists donning “Tours Wulong” name tags and matching red caps surged toward the ticketing hall like a tide. The spectacular scene drew the attention of other visitors, many of whom stopped to watch, with some even pulling out their cameras to snap photos and share on social media.
It turned out to be a massive 10,000-person group from cities across Sichuan including Chengdu, Mianyang, and Guangyuan. Having long admired the breathtaking scenery of Wulong, they were here today and tomorrow to explore five of Wulong’s core scenic areas—Tiansheng Sanqiao, Xiannvshan, Longshuixia Trench, Furong Cave, and Furong River—together, soaking in the stunning natural heritage landscape that Wulong has to offer.

Tiansheng Sanqiao’s Tianfu Guanyi bustles with activity
Different scenery, different moods. Despite the overcast weather and light drizzle, the tourists remained highly enthusiastic. At the Tiansheng Sanqiao scenic area, reporters observed that as soon as visitors stepped off the elevator, the suddenly opening Qinglongqiao (Azure Dragon Bridge) drew waves of amazement. The Tianfu Guanyi, the sole exterior filming location for the movie “Curse of the Golden Flower,” also attracted many visitors eager to take photos. In the Longshuixia Trench, the winding cliffside plank walkways and the spectacular canyon views between the earth’s fissures left tourists lingering and exclaiming, “This is the true heart of the Earth.”
Mega group watches Impression Wulong together
Additionally, Impression Wulong, Chongqing’s only large-scale live performance, is also part of this itinerary. The organizers of Impression Wulong have gone out of their way to accommodate this event, scheduling two special performances today and tomorrow to allow over 10,000 people to enjoy the show simultaneously.
“I came to Wulong Xiannvshan with friends by car during this year’s May Day holiday—the highland meadows and fresh air left a deep impression on me. This time, I’m here for the 10,000-person tour aiming to set a Guinness World Record. It’s exciting to enjoy the beautiful scenery while witnessing Wulong break a world record,” said Mr. Li from Sichuan, sharing his motivation for joining the group.
It is reported that since no scenic area in China has ever hosted 10,000 visitors at once before, the Wulong scenic area plans to apply for a Guinness World Record for this event, with related documentation currently being prepared.
