What is outdoor?

A search engine might tell you: going outside your home is called outdoor.

But Ctrip’s “Love to Play” will directly open a door for you to discover the world.

At the Club Zone of the 2015 Asia Outdoor Exhibition, Ctrip Love to Play will present the world to you in a comprehensive way, themed by different interests!

Maybe you still don’t know what Ctrip Love to Play is? Maybe you want to know why it suits our outdoor enthusiasts’ taste? Come with us as we ask Ctrip Love to Play — Mr. He Mingtao, the Deputy General Manager, will answer your questions himself!

Q: What’s the difference between Ctrip “Love to Play” and traditional travel programs?

A: Last year, Ctrip launched a theme travel platform in Shanghai and established Aiwán Information Technology Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as “Aiwán”) to operate it specifically. Ctrip’s goal is to build China’s largest theme travel platform, providing one-stop services for hundreds of millions of middle-class people who love to play. This type of theme travel differs from conventional sightseeing tours; it is interest-based leisure travel aimed at middle- to high-income groups, including activities such as golf, diving, cycling, and skiing.

Q: What special programs does “Love to Play” offer for outdoor enthusiasts?

A: The rapidly growing outdoor market has brought great opportunities to the tourism industry, and we truly value this chance. At the end of 2014, the “Love to Play Outdoor” project was officially launched.

Currently, the project offers products for cycling and hiking, covering five major departure cities — Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Chengdu — 18 core regions, and around 200 diverse cycling and hiking routes. A tourism style that combines leisure with outdoor sports is becoming one of the key trends in both domestic and outbound travel. Our cycling and hiking products will swiftly enter the travel market in the form of “light outdoor, heavy experience,” delivering differentiated travel experiences.

Q: Why did “Love to Play Outdoor” choose the Club Zone when participating in the Asia Outdoor Exhibition?

A: The Asia Outdoor Exhibition is China’s first professional outdoor products exhibition certified by the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (UFI). Its scale and influence are not to be underestimated, and exhibitor and visitor satisfaction are extremely high. We understand that the Club Zone set up for this exhibition builds a brand-new communication bridge between brands, clubs, and customers — all of which are highly suitable for Love to Play Outdoor. Through this exhibition, we can introduce more outdoor enthusiasts to Ctrip’s “Love to Play Outdoor” and meet more outstanding partners.

Finally, Mr. He also sincerely invites outdoor enthusiasts, clubs, and brands to collaborate: “To have more opportunities to communicate with our customers, we’ve set up a booth in the Outdoor Club Zone. We will systematically introduce our travel services through a launch event and roll out exclusive outbound outdoor travel routes for autumn and winter. We also warmly welcome more clubs and outdoor brands to collaborate for mutual benefits and shared development.”

From July 23–26, after visiting Ctrip Love to Play in the Club Zone of the Asia Outdoor Exhibition, we ask you again: What is outdoor? You’ll surely be able to answer loudly: “Love to play” — just step out and find yourself again.
