Already making waves at numerous international film festivals, "Only the Sea Knows" features child star Zhong Jiajun, who has garnered significant attention and won the 55th Golden Horse Award for Best New Performer in 2018. An ethnic Tao himself, Zhong's natural and touching acting impressed many judges, including jury president Gong Li.
At just 14 years old, Zhong Jiajun has already won the Best Young Actor award in the Children and Youth Film Competition at the 25th Minsk International Film Festival in Belarus, hailed as Oscar-level. "Only the Sea Knows" was also selected for the "Asian Future" competition section at the 31st Tokyo International Film Festival.
