This passionate summer welcomesThe 8th Pingxiang Wugongshan Tent Festival and the 2015 “Joy with the Mountains” Panoramic Outdoor CarnivalGrand Opening!Since its establishment in 2008 through 2014, the Pingxiang Wugongshan Tent Festival has been successfully held for seven consecutive years and has now become a landmark cultural symbol of the Wugongshan Scenic Area in Pingxiang and a nationally renowned outdoor flagship event.
This edition of the tent festival will take place from August 21 to September 13 within the Wugongshan Scenic Area in Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province. Unlike previous editions, this year’s festival breaks away from the traditionally high-density, centralized format and is divided into three seasonal phases: “Connecting with the Mountains,” “Running through the Mountains,” and “Reveling in the Mountains.” Not only has the content been comprehensively upgraded to include a wide range of outdoor, sports, and entertainment activities, but it also adopts a holographic panoramic approach to fully showcase the beautiful scenery and rich heritage of Wugongshan. Spanning the entire summer, the event invites you toexperience an all-encompassing carnival celebration!

This eventadopts the theme slogan of the 2015 “Joy with the Mountains” Panoramic Outdoor Carnival, continuing the much-loved traditional outdoor activities and competitions, while introducing popular modern events such as a romantic party for fashion-forward singles and couples, top-tier international trail running competitions, and a DJ music festival on the Cloud Grassland. Leveraging Wugongshan’s unparalleled natural resources, and by closely integrating current social trends with sports and entertainment culture, it aims to create China’s — and even the world’s — first high-mountain meadow panoramic carnival that combines love shows, extreme performances, outdoor competitions, and rock music.
According to the organizing committee, the 8th Wugongshan Tent Festival will return to its roots, focusing on the themes of connecting with the mountains, running through the mountains, reveling in the mountains, and sharing the mountain experience. Run wild, my friends!In Wugongshan, you can set your feet free and sprint to your heart’s content. From September 3 to September 5,join fellow adventurers from all over at the mountaintop in the clouds to participate in South China’s most beautiful trail race, traverse classic off-road routes, enjoy a uniquely captivating trail experience, and feast your eyes on stunning vistas. The race route: New Mountain Gate (start) – Xiongling – Shixi Village – Shenzicun – Tieti Peak – Golden Summit – Diaoma Stake – Despair Slope – Fayunjie – Longshan Village – Huangjiang Village (finish), covering a total of 38.3 kilometers, offering views of Wugongshan’s most spectacular landscapes. The second-season theme activity of the panoramic carnival, Running through the Mountains, is also a mysterious dialogue with nature, challenging your limits both physically and spiritually!
