The 2018 New Taipei City Happy Christmas Town launched in mid-November, while the New Taipei Christmas Market grandly opened from December 7 to December 9. This year’s market theme features an European-style street scene with a 4.5-meter-tall Christmas tree, and there's also timed snowfall on-site to let visitors soak up the festive Christmas atmosphere.

In addition to highly photogenic Christmas scenes and beautiful lighting displays, the Christmas Market has carefully selected 80 uniquely themed stalls and also launched a limited-time free lucky bag giveaway event.

Now in its fifth year, the New Taipei Happy Christmas Town gets more exciting every year.
During the market period, free lucky bags will be given out daily starting at 2 PM, with a limit of 100 per day. There will also be on-site bidding activities where items such as scented essential oils, candles, ukuleles, and electric blankets all start at just NT$1. Limited-edition products like champion bread and selected gifts are available at 50% off. Spend NT$300 in the market and get a NT$30 cash voucher, with a daily limit of 300 vouchers.
